Dental bonding is a cosmetic dentistry treatment used to restore your tooth and treat a wide variety of cosmetic issues including tooth stains, chipped teeth, uneven and misshapen teeth, gaps in your smile, and more.
In the dental bonding procedure, Dr. Acree will use a soft, pliable, tooth-colored resin to restore and reshape your tooth. After the tooth is prepared, this resin material will be applied directly to the surface of the tooth.
Using special dental tools, the resin will be sculpted to correct cosmetic issues in your tooth, such as filling a chip or reshaping an uneven or misshapen tooth. Once the overall shape of the tooth looks good, the resin is “activated” and hardened with UV light. Then, your bite will be checked, and Dr. Acree will make final adjustments to the tooth at our Modesto practice, if necessary.
